We aren't in Kansas anymore..... but we were!!! We had a whole day off of work so we used our flight vouchers and flew for free to Manhattan! What, you say Manhattan's in NY??? Eh, that's the big apple. We went to the Little Apple - Manhattan, Kansas.
Josh went for a nice bike ride when he woke up. Apparently, Scooby Doo joined him and they went on a treasure hunt.
Naomi got to go on a dinosaur safari! We were very glad that by the time we got there, she was comfortable enough with the dinosaur to sit on it when it was turned off. It was funny when Mere tried turning it on before Naomi got down. Instant tears. Hilarious! Poor kid.
We also went to what we thought was going to be this new awesome hiking place... Mere had a book of all the places in the area and this one, "Pilsbury Crossing," looked like it would be great and it even had a waterfall (or sorts). The girls were excited when we got to the trail.
We quickly discovered that, as Adam said, the place could be recreated with a tractor, a farm, and a creek. It did have some pretty flowers though!
And this could very easily be our first submission to Awkward Family Photos. None of us realized Sophie was there until we got home that afternoon. She's a nut.

This is the "waterfall" that Josh took Sophie to. Mere and I opted out becuase to get there you had to take your shoes off and walk in the nasty water with gross slippery plant type things in it. Bleh. I chose to leave the Chameleons on!
He's going to be a fantastic Dad in a few years :) I'm excited.
Adam decided to take Naomi... only Naomi didn't really walk. It was more like assisted slippery skating. She'd just straighten her legs and let Adam push her and then decide she didn't really want to have her feet there anyway and make him carry her.
This is how Sophie played all afternoon. Pretty sure they stayed on her face until she got ready for bed. Notice they're upside down.
We played pin the tail on the donkey in celebration of the birthdays. Meredith won (I think).
Naomi's newest obsession. "Naomi, who is that." "Ella and Mouse." "OOOh you're Cinderella?" Pointing... "Ella, Ella, Ella" Ah, she's so cute.
In case you were wondering, this is where her belly is.
Not sure which character this is.... I think this may have been the old man? She kind of hobled in like she had a cane.
maybe this is the old man? they all kind of looked the same.
Josh was hungry? maybe? or he was upset that the bugs were biting him repeatedly. probably the latter.
S'mores on the grill - which didn't work so well. At one point, Adam poured half the bottle of whatever stuff you pour on there and it exploded for about 2 minutes, then went out again. I microwaved my s'more.
That's enough for one day. Thanks for looking at all our pictures :) We would have just put them on Picassa, but google went crazy on us.
