for those of you who are interested, here's what's up.
josh had a conversation today with the farm guy for CA - he's pretty much the guy in charge of getting us matched up with a job. here's the deal: as it stands right now, there are no jobs in CA. at all. our guy in the country we're hoping to go to has either not yet submitted a job request for us or he has already done so and it'd been denied due to lack of funds.
so, at this point, we're working with 2 main options: the city with d and p or working with the same people in western europe. we've contacted the people on the field in both places who will submit the requests, and our farm guy is also chatting with the guys on the field... so basically, we're doing all we can. at this point - it's entirely up to the Lord.
this puts our time line at..... being totally undetermined. most likely, we'll go to the farm in january, but we're still hoping for october or, by some miracle, july. for either of the earlier options, we'd need a job in..... oooooh..... 3 weeks? if the Lord wants us there then, He'll do it... if not, His timing is better than our plans anyway.
we would greatly appreciate any prayers that could be made on our behalf, and d and p (and baby o who will be here in a month!!), and the people. that'd be great.
Well, they might write you a job request to come work with us, since we're the only people going to the country. It's not where you guys were wanting to go, but if you're interested, facebook me and I'll let you know what I know. P is pregnant? Tell them congrats from us!

ReplyDeletemichelle - at this point we're open to anywhere! if we don't hear back from the emails we've sent, we may be hitting you guys up! and yeah - i guess P got pregnant right after you guys left!! they're having a boy... maybe a future spouse for lane :) hehe.

Well, let us know if you want to chat. Fun, fun, a boy for D and P. I'm glad we got a girl, though...I want a boy someday, but this way I know I get at least one girl. :-) I'm sure that Lane and baby O will at least know each other...the world of "the company" is pretty small. They'll probably at least have teenage crushes on each other! :-)
