i'm a rock star (sort of)

so last weekend, sick though i was, i went to an all star presenter camp - something powder blue productions puts on to help people who teach gym classes be better at teaching or help people who don't teach but want to learn how to get into it and do it well.

i must admit, i was TERRIFIED going into it because my friend amanda, who was the trainer, told me we had a practical test where we had to lead a portion like we were teaching a class.... um, not sure when it happened but i've all the sudden become shy and the thought of trying to cue moves while staying on beat and keep it fun at the same time with people i don't know was pretty daunting.

as it turns out, it's actually really fun! the training was sooo helpful in learning how to hear the beat (not just the beat, that i know how to do, but like, when to start a phrase of choreography) and learning how to cue and how to make classes fun... i thoroughly enjoyed myself despite being sick. and, apparently i'm pretty decent at teaching (who knew) - as soon as i had the mike on, i was like, woo hoo lets go! i had so much fun! and i'm hoping to get trained in turbo kick and (if we have time before we ship out) maybe sub a few classes or something?? annnnnd why not try to teach it overseas? they have gyms where we're going :)
